Loganway Farms is about ten miles north of me in the rural town of Kinsman, located in Northern Trumbull County. The farm is a family owned business that has worked thousands of acres here in NE Ohio since the turn of the last century. One can drive down SR5 for miles and miles and still see the gently rolling acres of Loganway farms on both sides of the road.
One member of the Logan family, Joe Logan, painted his barn with the Obama sunrise logo back in 2008, and that design still stands today, but with the help of volunteers Joe added the “Forward” design to the side this weekend.According to Logan: “Independent farmers, ranchers and crop providers have benefited under the Obama administration.
“And what we clearly need is for policies to be put in place that allow those people to prosper and frankly we’ve seen Barack Obama and this administration take a number of initiatives to try and reduce the consolidation and the vertical integration that often challenges farms to be successful,” Logan said.
